About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am arriving in Shanghai Pudong and travelling onwards within 144 hours to Thailand

I have the confirmed onward ticket. However, I do not wish to stay in Shanghai. I only want to stay in a hotel in Suzhou for the duration of my visit.
Is Suzhou included in the 144 hr free transit zone?
