Chaoshan refers to a large area covering Chaozhou, Shantou and Jieyang. So I presume you refer to Chaozhou. It is around 450km from Guangzhou. I suggest you take a high speed train from Guangzhou South or East Station to Chaoshan Station in 3h. Then you may change to a shuttle bus to reach Chaozhou.
