How far is terminal 1 from terminal 2 at PEK?

I am landing from Shanghai at 23:00 in terminal 1 and flying home from
terminal 2 on 01:55
What is the fastest way to get from terminal 1 to terminal 2 at night ?

Don’t worry, the free terminal shuttle can take you from T1 to T2, and you can take it outside Gate 7 of first floor in T1 and get off at outside Gate 7 of first floor in T2.

Actually, it is around 0.7mi apart. It is faster to walk between and it will take no more than CNY10 If taking the free shuttle, you have to wait for the schedule.
