High Speed Train from Beijing to Shanghai

Is there a baggage area which I can store during the ride or do I have to carry it with me? My baggage size is 26". If I book first class, is the seat wide enough for me to keep it with me?

You need to take it with you. The luggage can be put on the luggage rack above the seat.
