About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Landing from US on China Eastern at 1700; continuing on to Seoul on China Eastern at 0900 next day.

We are going into Shanghai for the overnite. Do we need to claim our bags, or will they just transfer them, and how early must we be back at the airport for our flight next day?

Don’t worry, you don’t need to claim your bags in this airport. Your luggage will be autimatically transferred to the destination. To catch the onward flight, you'd better arrive in airport at least 2 hours in advance.

please call the airlines and check their policy. They made me claim my baggages last time for the layover of more than 4 hours.
