Hi, I want to travel from NYC to Seoul and from Seoul to Beijing. And then from Beijing back to NYC. I'll only stay in Beijing for 3 days and then head back to the states. Is the 72hr free transit applicable here even though I would be flying to Beijing from South Korea.

Seoul-Beijing (72 hours)-USA is fine, if you are on non-stop flights and a USA passport.
