About:China Visa Application in UK

can one person obtain visa for herself and traveling companion?

My friend and I are travelling to china at end of September. We are applying each for our own L types obviously but my friend goes to Manchester fairly frequently. Could she take both our applications/documentation/fees and obtain both our L types?
