About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Two layovers in China-Chengdu and Shanghai

Hello,
I fly from Thailand to Chengdu to Shanghai to LAX and I'm wondering if I would qualify for the visa in Chengdu or Shanghai?

Last year I did the same as you, there is a 72 hour free stay.

If you have two stops in China then you are limited to 24 hours direct transit, not 72 hours.
