Change a tourist visa into student visa X1 within China (Chengdu)

Hi,

Is it currently possible to change the L 30 days single entry into student X1 within China? Or need to leave the country (home country or any country?)

It's possible for you to do that at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. You can have a try.
