Business M type extend

In october 2016 I got a one year China business M. Now I would like to extend my M type with three months until February 2018. Would this be possible at the PSB in Shanghai?

Also I read that; to apply for this M type I need an government approved invitation letter. I got a letter from the company I work at but am not sure it is government approved. can you tell me more about this?
