About:Mount Miaofeng

I am landing at Beijing on 2017-12-25 at 1625 hrs from Canada

and leaving Beijing on 2017-12-28 at 1940 hours for India, by Air China (Both Flights).
Am I eligible for free stay to see the city and area around or do I have to apply for a visa?.

Yes. The rules are very clear. Beijing has a strict 72-hour policy and your time obviously exceeds 72 hours.
