About:China Visa on Arrival

Arriving into Shanghai by Cruise Ship

We arrive into Shanghai by cruise ship and fly home from Shanghai airport 24 hours later to the UK. Do we need a visa? I can see that if we arrived by air we would be fine but I can't find any details for it we arrive by boat.

If the last country you come from by boat is not UK, then you will be able to utilize the 24 hour direct transit. You don’t need an entry permit then.
