Query from HKG to SHA and returning to HNK for onward flight

Hi, I'm flying to Hong Kong to stay for three days then my plan is to fly to Shanghai for three days. However, my onward flight to Fiji is from Hong Kong therefore I intend to fly back after my visit to SH. Will I qualify for the free transit visa for SH? I am a British citizen. Many thanks.
