Maria, you can try to convert a tourist L type to a work Z type after finding a job in China.

Now you can do that in China. Transfer from Tour L type to Z type if you find a job while you are in China. BUT, the working process of Foreign Employment Admin is way longer than you expected, your L type is probably not long enough to wait for that!!!
