About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

urgent visa question

I am travelling from London to Hong Kong (5 nights) to Beijing (spending 3 nights and departing before 72 hours) then heading to Tokyo for 5 days. We are then travelling back to London from Tokyo with a 2 hour layover in Beijing (we do not plan to leave the airport) and 1 night in Hong Kong. Will we have trouble with the 72 hour free transit?
