What type do I need?

I accidentally purchased round trip ticket from San Francisco to Singapore to meet cruise ship. I should have purchased ticket to Singapore and return home from Beijing. Now I need to purchase a ticket from Beijing to Singapore to catch my flight home. Do I need to purchase a visa and if so, what type.
