Planning to catch an overnight train from a Beijing to Nanchang on 29/9

I will go with my husband and 3 young kids age 4,6,8. Which train service should I choose to avoid local peak hours while traveling on subway to the train station. The earliest one at 18.56 or the latest at 20.01? How much time should I take into consideration for checking in at the train station?
