About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Toronto - Shanghai - Thailand - Shanghai - Toronto

Flying from Toronto - Shanghai (2 nights for a wedding) - then to Thailand (7 nights), then fly back to Shanghai (1 night) Then back to Toronto.

This means we would need the 72 hour free transit for the 2 nights but also on the way back for 1 night? Does it matter that we need it twice on this trip?

Thanks,
Cynthia

There´s no 72h twov at Shanghai but you´re eligible for the 144h twov at your first stay.
On the way back you can use the 24h transit if the stay is no longer as 24h, if it´s longer as 24h, another use of the 144h twov is fine.
