United states - Shanghai - United states

Trying to tag along on my husbands business trip and tour Shanghai while he's working. Can I use 144 hours visit for 6 days with a 3 day tour?

According to your route, I am afraid that you are not qualified for the 144-hours visa free transit. The visa free transit can be only used under the condition that you fly from your country to Shanghai and then go to a third country or region including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

Thank you for your reply. Could I travel from us-Hong Kong- Shanghai instead? I could spend the day in Hong Kong and then head to Shanghai if that would work for the 144 hour visa.

Yes, the 144-hour visa free transit is workable if you fly from Hong Kong to Shanghai and then go to US.
