baggage allowed for high speed trains to xianbeijing

Question

We (7 passengers) came to Shanghai via Cathay Pacific Business Class with baggage allowance of 40Kg per passenger. Can we bring the same luggages into the high speed ride to Xian and Beijing ?

Well, the policy says 20kg per person, however, I don't think they are very serious about the weight. The luggage is hardly weighted unless they looks too much or too large. Arrange checked luggage on high speed ride is also more complicated, so it is better to take all the luggage with you directly.
