beijing to singapore

Question

We are flying from Canada into Beijing on Tuesday April 9, 2018 arriving at 2:10 pm.  We are then flying to Singapore to board a cruise ship to Tokyo then over to Alaska and back to Canada. Just trying to confirm that we would qaulify for the 72 hour free visa.  I haven't booked the flight to Sigapore yet but am understading that we would have to fly out by 2:10 on Friday.  Is that correct?

Sharon, if your layover time in Beijing is within 72 hours, then you can use the 72 hour free transit there.
