About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

I have a one year Visa which allows for multiple entries into China.

I am a researcher involved with a collaborative study with faculty from the Peking University in Beijing. I heard you can have a five year entry permit for China. Is this true or will I have to renew my entry permit at the end of the year.

Hi, based on what I know, it's possible for US passport holders to get a 5-year student X type for China as long as you can provide all required documents. You can give it a try! You can call the embassy to inquire the details. TEL: (202) 337-1956
