About:China Visa Application Requirements

My daughter has just turned 18 and graduated school , so no longer a dependant on my Z type.

She has a student X type until the end of the month.However, she is taking a Gap year before college and doing volunteering, they cannot offer her a visa. Which type would you advise for her to apply for? Will she have to return to her passport country to apply or can she apply in Hong Kong?

She may be able to apply for an S2 type or a tourist L type for that. She can try to convert her current X type to S2 or L type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, she doesn’t need to go back to her home country for that.
