About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Melb to shanghai to Hong Kong to Melb

We would like to travel from Melbourne Australia to shanghai for theee nights then into hing Kong for five then return to Melbourne ,am I able to take advantage of the 144 hr transit visa?

Yes, assuming your return flight does not stop in Hong Kong.
