About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Hello, I fly into Shanghai PVG from Seattle, Washington at 1500 on July 4th,

flying out at 1:00 to Tokyo. I have a 10 hour layover in Shanghai. Do I qualify for the 72 hour visa? If so, how do I apply for it?
Thank you for your help,
Lisa

Lisa, you qualify for the free transit in Shanghai. You need to inform the airlines that you want to use the free transit in Shanghai when you board the plane in Seattle. Then, apply for it at the transit counter when you arrive the Shanghai airport.
