About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Flying from Seattle, USA to Manila, Philippines

My flight leaves Seattle to Manila, then Manila to Beijing for 3 days, then back to Manila, then Seattle.
Can I get the 72 hour Transit? In Beiing my plane arrives at 3:45pm Monday, and departs 7:00pm Thursday, that's over 72 hours. But I can be at the airport at 3:00 pm to meet my 72 hour stay. Is this okay?

No. It's not that your time is over 72 hours, it's that your routing is not transit at all.
