Bipeng valley - sleeping, guides, pass to Changpingggou etc.

This summer me and my 8 friends (with experiences from Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Turkey or Alps) want to come to Bipeng valley. My questions are:

- when we come to the ticket office at the beginning of the valley, can we pay entrance fee, get by the shuttle to Shanghaizi and spend 1 night there (under tent, or roof) in order to wake up early next day and start our trek?
- the last shuttle up should go at 5 pm and not later, right?
- if we want to climb the 4640 m high pass ("yakou") between Bipeng and Changping valley, do we need a guide, when we climb up and come back to the Shanghaizi during 1 day?
- is it possible to hire some cheaper guide directly around Bipenggou ticket office at the beginning of the valley or in Shanghaizi? (we don't want some expensive agency from Chengdu etc.) What are the standard prices for 1 day?
- actually is it a duty to hire a guide if we don't want to climb some high mountains and want to get on the pass only? (we have maps, good physical training etc.)

Thank you in advance for your help and answers.

1. Yes, you can pay the entrance fee and get by the sightseeing bus to Shanghaizi when you arrive there.
2. Yes, you need to hire a guide and you also need to communicate with the staff of the scenic spot when you hike along unconventional route.
3. I am so sorry that I did not find any information about this question online.
4. You may also need to hire a guide, if you want to get on the pass only.
