About:xa06

I am looking to climb to Huashan East Peak for sunrise but my train arrives in Xi'an North at 5pm.

Then I need to take a train to Hua shan and get to the park. Pay the entrance and then get cable to North Peak. By this time it will be 7pm I think.
1) can a sunset be seen from North peak?
2) how much is cable car to North peak?
3) can I start the hike from North Peak after 7pm? Is it not dangerous on the heavenly ladder?
4) What is my best option to get to East Peak if I reach North Peak at 7pm?

Some people suggested start the hike at 11pm from Hua Shan village. How is this done and what route?

Hi, Shay.
1) You can enjoy the sunset from North Peak, but it is not the best place to see the sunset. As a result, the scenery may be less beautiful than the East Peak.
2) As I know, the ticket fare of cable car is about CNY80/person.
3) Yes, you can. It is not quite dangerous on the heavenly ladder. You are advised to take gloves and the flashlight with you.
4) You can only climb from North Peak to the East Peak.
5) There is only one route to climb Mountain Hua at that time. You may enter from Yuquanyuan and pass through Wulong Bridge to Mountain Hua Valley to North Peak. Then you may go through the Middle Peak to the East Peak to appreciate the sunrise.
Have a nice trip.

Thank you very much for the information.
1) What is the best way to get to Yuquanyuan from Huan Shan Rail Station?
2) Do you have a map that I can refer to so that i can see where to walk to Wulong Bridge and then to Mount Hua Valley and then to North Peak?
3) How long does that walk take to North Peak from Yuquanyuan?
4) when I get to the North Peak at night, is it straight forward to continue walking to Middle Peak in the dark to get to the East peak? i shall have gloves and torch lights but I am concerned about missing a turn or taking a wrong turn and getting lost as I shall be independent.
5) When I get to the East peak - I shall look for accommodation but as it is summer, maybe stay outdoors is also possible?

because of my arrival at 5pm, I may not be in time to view the sunset but hopefully make it to sunrise at East Peak.
Any maps or directions that you may have will be very helpful.

1. As I know, when you get out of the station, you can find a public bus heading for the Tourist Center of the scenic spot. Upon arrival, you can catch another special bus to Yuquanyuan. Besides, you can take a taxi to the destination directly.
2. I’m sorry that I don’t have a map. You can buy a map when you arrive at the Tourist Center.
3. When you arrive at the North Peak, you can go forward to Middle Peak and then the East Peak. You can follow the others. Don’t worry, there are lots of people will climb the mountain at night. Maybe you can find a partner when you climb the mountain.
4. Well, the top of the mountain is quite cold, you may wear warm clothes. Besides, you can rent a military coat when you climb the mountain. Most people will rent a coat and just sit down on the top of the mountain to appreciate the sunrise. Notably, you may take enough water with you. Have a nice trip.
