limited time to process new work permit

Question

Hello, my work permit is in the process of being issued, but time is running out. Can I get a residence permit extension from the PSB in Hangzhou while I wait for new work permit or do I need to leave the country  by June 30 my resident permit expires? Can this cause problems if I have to apply for a new z work visa outside the country since my work permit is still being processed?

You can go to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB to apply for an extension. Otherwise, you need to leave China before it expires. It won’t cause any problems. You can apply for the work Z type outside the country after you get the work permit.
