How many days of intended stay can my fiancee ask for me in her invitation letter?

I'm going to apply for a visa to visit my fiancee and get married.
We don't know how long it will take.
We want as many days as possible but how to specify this in the letter and application form?
Date of departure..., intended duration of residence...?
