How can I reach Beijing from Gubei Water Town?

What are the time options & how frequent buses leave?

Kylie, if you want to go to Dongzhimen inside the city, you can go to the bus station to take bus Mi 55 to Miyun Bus Station for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Ticket fare is CNY13/person. Take bus 980 or 980 Express to Dongzhimen Transit Hub for about 3 hours, and that is your destination.

Edited: Went to the Water Village from Dongzhimen by taking the Express Bus (48 yuan per person per way) at a bus station outside of Dongzhimen station (ask the tourist desk & they will redirect you). Do note that there is a bit of a walking distance from Dongzhimen to the mentioned bus station where you can take the express bus directly from Beijing to the water village.

What about the way back? I cannot find info on how to get back to Beijing (I am talking about what time buses run and/or how I can book a taxi from the water village). Thanks a lot :)

You can take a direct bus from the water town. It heads for Dongzhimen at 12:00, 16:00 and 21:00 in weekdays and 12:00, 16:00, 19:00 and 21:00 on weekends. As the taxi, you can ask the staff of the scenic spot to help you book the taxi in advance.
