About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I travel by train from Hong Kong to Guangzhou airport to fly to Australia without a visa?

I know I can do this as a transit passenger (without a visa) if I fly into Guangzou but I don't know if I can go by train from Hong Kong to the Guangzhou airport on my way to flying to Australia on China Southern.

Hi, Bob, if your total layover time in Guangzhou is less than 24 hours, you can do it then. Otherwise, you can not enjoy free transit because you enter Guangzhou by train.
