How do i get to Summer Palace from Beijing Forbidden City by public transport?

is it possible to visit both on the same day?

You may take bus no.103 or no.101 at Forbidden City Bus Stop to Xisi Crossing East Bus Stop. Then you may walk to Xisi Metro Station and catch metro line 4 Daxing Line to Xiyuan Station, Exit C2. Afterwards, you may find the garden easily.
