About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am traveling from Toronto to Guangzhou then have a 14 hr layover then traveling to Bali Indonesia

would I need a visa ? Or can I leave the airport to explore and get a hotel

Andrea, you don't need a visa for that because you can enjoy 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou. If you want to leave the airport to explore the city, you need to apply for a free temporary stay permit which is free of charge at the airport.
