About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is Hong Kong considered the third country?

Does the third country include hong Kong?

For example, could I get this 144hr visa if:
Sydney - Hong Kong - Shenzhen/Guangdong (144 Hours) - Hong Kong - Sydney
Regards
Josh

Josh, the 144 hour free transit hasn’t been carried out in Guangdong yet. HK will be regarded as a third region when speaking of the free transit policy. However, if you travel like that, you won’t qualify for the free transit facility because it’s not a transit at all. You need to apply for a visa beforehand.

Hi,
Thanks for your help.
Ugh all I need is a day visit to Dongguan.
Might be able to get a rushed tourist visa in HK.
Thanks
