About:China Transit Visa

Can your stopover exceed 2 hours in Urumqi airport?

I am planning to fly from Tehran to Auckland New Zealand by China Southern airlines via Urumqi and Guangzhou.
I am an Iranian citizen. My entire stopover in china will be 17 hours and my stopover in Urumqi will be 4 hours. Do I need a transit visa?
