I am flying from Ho Chi Minh to Beijing and then to Paris

Hello,
I am flying from HCM to Beijing, but unfortunately I won't have my resident permit for China anymore by that time.
The thing is that I already have a flight for Paris (booked last year) departing from Beijing (thus the reason why I cannot take a flight HCM-Paris). It is not with the same company.
Can I take a direct flight from HCM to BJ, benefit from the 72h transit visa and then take my flight for Paris?

Thanks, Jenny

Jenny, yes, you can. If you travel like that, you can use the 72 hour visa-free transit in Beijing.
