What is point of entry if I fly from toronto to Shanghai with a stopover of 3 hours in Guangzhou?

I have a passport of kingdom of the Netherlands. I want to go to Shanghai and continue 4 days later to Seoul.
Southern China airlines does not fly directly from Toronto to Shanghai, but with a stopover and change of plane in Guangzhou of 3 hours. Can I make use of the 144 visa free stay?
The return leg is from Seoul to Beijing and within 72 hours I will fly back to Toronto but again with a change of plane in Guangzhou that will take 2 hours and 35 minutes. Am I eligible for the 72 hour free stay in Beijing?

You cannot use the 144 hour free transit in Guangzhou and Shanghai.
On the way back, you cannot enjoy 72 hour free transit because you will transit in both Beijing and Guangzhou.
You need to apply for visa for that beforehand.
