About:Shopping in Baotou

I'm from Spain and I want to buy tickets from Beijing to Datong 30th July i soft sleeper category.

We are two people, but we want to know if it's possible to reserve a compartment only for us. It's possible to buy tickets now or can we wait one month before the date?

As I know, the soft sleep cabin have 4 people.
You can book the train tickets on July 30th. In addition, the ticket fare of soft sleeper is CNY158.5.
