Cancellation of foreign expert certificate.

Hu there, I am from Pakistan and was working in Fujian province China legally with Z visa. I completed my 1st year of contract i reapplied with the same school but after renewal, i got back due to an emergency back home telling the school i might be coming back. But they thought i had pulled a midnight run and cancelled my residence permit after a few days i left mainland giving a reason m am working somewhere else. This is now almost 9 months till then. I am seeking an opportunity to join a University to enroll for my P.hd now, do you think my last visa status be a trouble fir me?
