travel to Dongbei in October

We plan to travel to Dongbei and Harbin for 10 days either on 3/10 or 13/10 October this year and we want to avoid the crowd. I learn that travelling in China in early October will be very crowded and congested because of 1 week National Day Holiday. Will this scenario also happen in Dongbei in early October? If so, we can postpone our plan to 13/10. Please advise.
Thank you.

In China, during the holidays....it is not just there are many people, but MANY MANY MANY people.

Having said that, I was in Harbin during the Golden Week holidays around 3 yrs ago for a week.

It was very doable. Less people than the bund in shanghai during weekends for example.
Didn't have issues with hotel, transport, restaurants, shopping, sight seeing etc..

If that is the case, we shall visit ShengYang, Panjin, Dandong, TongHua, Beishan, Jilin and Harbin in early October (3/10) for 10 days or more. Are all these places worth visit or we have to omit some less interesting cities?

Thank you.

In my opinion, you can visit these cities. There are different sceneries in different cities. Besides, you are advised to focus on Shenyang, Jilin Harbin and Panjin at that time.
