About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Buying a one way ticket to Beijing and then another ticket to Singapore 48 hours later.

I will be flying from Mexico City to Bangkok with a 3 hr layover in Guangzhou, China. Two weeks later I would like to buy a one way flight from Bangkok to Beijing on "Air Asia" then buy another one way ticket from Beijing to Singapore using the same "Air Asia" airline leaving 48 hrs laters, would I qualify for the 72-hr visa?

Based on what you said, you can use the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou and the 72 hour free transit facility in Beijing. Nice trip!
