Does the Forbidden City have tours through them?

Can you book a tour, directly with the people who manage the Forbidden City (sell the tickets) or do you have to book through an independent company?

There are audio guide devices available at the entrance of the Forbidden City. You can rent one if you would like to visit the palace independently. However, if you want to explore further and get more detailed explanation of the site, I would suggest you take a private guided tour through a travel agency.
