About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

does it qualify if one goes several times in Beijing ? (paris-PEK-Hong Kong-PEK-paris)

Hi !
You said earlier that TYO-PEK-TYO does not qualify as it is not a transit. What about the other way around ?

My friend plans to do Paris - Beijing - Hong Kong - Beijing - Paris.
There would then be 2 Beijing stays (each one less than 72 hours of course), both within a week (only 3-4 days in HK inbetween the 2 Beijing stays).
Thanks!

Paris-Beijing-Hong Kong-Beijing-Paris is fine for 72 hours free transit in Beijing twice. It doesn't matter how long or short your stay in Hong Kong is.
But Paris-Hong Kong-Beijing-Hong Kong-Paris would not be fine and would require a visa in advance.
