About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Hello, I am a Canadian

planning on travelling from Vancouver, Canada to Beijing as a tourist and then from Beijing to Hong Kong for 4 days, do i need a visa for HK? I know i do not need a visa if i leave from Vancouver directly to HK, but does that change if i go to Beijing first?

Thank you.
