About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Canadian Student in Taiwan, looking to get a student Visa for China in Japan.

I am a Canadian student on exchange in Taiwan. I have been accepted to a summer program in Shanghai China and I was wondering if it is possible for me to travel to the Chinese embassy in Tokyo to apply for my student visa.
Thank you.

Hi, I'm afraid you cannot get it in Japan. You are advised to make the application from your home country.

So there is no other option, but to go back to Canada or mail my passport and application form to Canada and get someone to complete the process for me?

No, you cannot mail your passport back to make the application. You should be in the country when you make the application there. Or you can find an agency to help you apply in Japan, but I cannot assure the result.
