About:China Business Visa

I have an M visa valid for 2 years in a uk passport.

I am struggling to find out if it would be legal for me to work as a consultant at a chinese nursery for a period longer than 3 months. Would it be ok to do this if I left china and re entered before the end of the 3 month period? Would it make a difference if I was being paid by my company in the UK or by the company in China? I am also concerned that my role could be mistaken for teaching as I will be in an educational setting.

Yes, there is a difference. If it is paid by the Chinese company, you cannot work on the M type. A work Z type is needed then.
