VISA REQUIREMENT FOR AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN AND INDONESIAN CITIZEN

I am an Australian citizen who is on holiday in Bali, Indonesia - I would like to go to Hong Kong (4-5 days) Guangzhou (2 to 3 days), and then Beijing as a tourist (4 to 5 days)
a) can I apply from Indonesia (not my home country) via Chinese Embassy for visas to Guangzhou and Beijing?
b) do I need separate visas for Guangzhou and Beijing?

My partner is an Indonesian citizen travelling on an Indonesian passport. We would like to do the trip together.
a) Will he need separate visas for Guangzhou and Beijing?

Thank you in advance!

Yes, you can apply in Indonesia.
A single-entry tourist L type is okay for both Guangzhou and Beijing. No need to apply for separate one. So does your partner.
