American citizen overnight at Hong Kong Airport (hotels)

Good afternoon,
I may need to stay overnight at Hong Kong Airport. Are the hotels on Chek Lap Kok within the restricted area without a visa? I'll be arriving and departing on Cathay Pacific.
Thank you.

I’m afraid these hotels are not in the restricted area. You can apply for a stay permit, so that you can get out of the restricted area without a visa.
