First time applicant

What documents would I need to to get a tourist L type documents. I'm a us citizen that never traveled but seeking to go to China for a few weeks.

You need to provide passport and copy of its data page, a completed application form affixed with a passport-style photo, round trip air tickets and accommodation arrangement.
